During the Pandemic I was looking for something to keep me occupied and productive. I taught myself how to code to see where that would lead. I knew that I loved Music, Sports, Architecture, (click the Posts section) etc.. why not combine all these interests into a blog. In late January 2022 I began coding this site. I got myself a Web editor App, enlisted my daughter who is a UX designer to correct my mistakes (which were numerous) and went live at the beginning of June with EYES WIDE OPEN
The Blog starts off with a Music section where I have a "Song of Day" that changes every 2-3 days . I love Rock music, and I always hear from friends of mine that "there's no more good music out there anymore". Music changes. It evolves, you just have to know where to find it, or maybe you missed it the first time around. Keep your eyes wide open and you'll see it. My main goal is to try to introduce the reader to Music that is different from than the same 500 songs you've been listening to since High School. One day it might be a deep track to a Stones song you didn't know existed, and the next day might be a song from a great band like O.A.R. that you may have heard of but know nothing about. Or, even up and coming artists like Tom Odell. I give a brief history (similar to liner notes, only today I give you links with those liner notes to learn even more. Throughout the blog anything written in green is a link to something else). I then put all these songs into a Spotify playlist, located in the Menu at the top of the front page, that you can click on and listen to at anytime. Bookmark it for your next workout!
In the next section of the blog, I research and write posts about things that interest me. Mostly these posts are about Sports, Architecture, Photography... anything that I think is interesting. There's lots there: photos, videos, etc., just keep clicking the green links all around when you're in any blog entry to learn even more.
This is all new to me, I'm sure this will be changing constantly. Keep coming back to see what I come up with next. Suggestions and Comments are always welcome.
